Was talking to a friend at work today and he claimed that those with forged pistons experience oil burning. He explained it as such. They contain silicon which expands under heat and when it is cold it allows oil to seep past the rings and into the cylinders thus creating a burning oil effect. We came upon this conversation when I told him about my build plans. He claims all built engines burn oil and are a major pain. I disagree and believe if done right, the engine will be rock solid. Anyhow, just wondering about the pistons really. Thnx
